Are you putting in the work… and still not seeing the progress you expect?"

Let me guess...

You've been putting in the time. You've read all the books, watched the video's, and got advice from a smorgasbord of coaches.

Every time you try to improve, you find another “method” that contradicts the last one.

Everyone’s speaking a different language— it's mixture of the same terms for different meanings and different terms for the exact same thing...

So you bounce between cure-alls and quick fixes. You upgrade your setup. You copy what worked for that guy.

You've tried this technique and that one, but despite some sporadic wins, your technique still feels inconsistent, you're struggling to make consistent progress, and you're not sure if you're getting closer or further away from your goals...

Eventually… you find yourself asking:

Have I just been wasting my time?

Am I even good at this sport?

Should I give up and try a less frustrating sport... like golf?

Unfortunately, this is not an original story. But don't worry. You’re not alone—and no, it’s not your fault!

Most archery advice doesn’t work—here’s why

Much of the coaching advice floating around online—or handed out at local clubs—is well-meaning… but fundamentally flawed.

It’s usually based on personal experience, anecdote, or just copying what worked for that guy.

But here’s the problem:

Unless you’ve got the same body, the same background, at the same level, with the same coach, and the same training conditions… That advice won’t land the same way for you.

How could it!

Don't get me wrong, now more than ever, there is actually incredible information out there.

Most of it shows you what to do and what not to do...

But almost none of it shows you how to do it properly, in a way that matches your body, your experience level, and your shot process.

Worse, most of the “tips” out there don’t account for how students actually learn.

They don’t consider that people interpret and implement skills differently, particularly without proper feedback.

That's bad news for you!

You’re the one left guessing. Trying one thing… then another… then another… wondering why your results don’t stick.

Technique isn’t a shopping List!

You can’t just cherry-pick a drill here, a position there, and hope it all magically clicks together.

If you try 'Technique A' from one coach, and 'Technique B' from someone else, you’re not just experimenting—you’re accidentally rewiring your entire shot process in ways that you haven’t even considered.

It’s like baking a cake using three different recipes at once.

One’s a sponge cake.
One’s a carrot cake.
And one’s gluten-free, dairy-free, and probably made of chickpeas.

What you end up with might technically be a cake… but it’s not something you're going to enjoy, let alone serve at a wedding!

Archery is the same.

The shot is a a symbiotic, holistic system—each part of your shot builds into the next. One small change can throw everything else out of sync.

To improve, you need to work on the right skill, in the right order, at the right time in your development.

Without that structure?

You’re not JUST reinforcing bad habits... You’re building inconsistency into your technique!

The good news? You’re probably closer to a breakthrough than you think...

You're unlikely to be completely talentless and skill deprived.

Right now, your technique might be like a flat-pack chest of drawers that’s mostly put together… But one panel’s back to front, a few screws are loose, and there’s a mysterious leftover piece rattling around the box.

If you knew exactly what to do you could probably fix the whole thing before the kettle boils.

But without that clarity?

You'll be pulling it apart and putting it back together wondering why the drawers won’t close and whether the wobble is something you can live with.

Unfortunately, most archers never make it past the "pulling it apart and putting it back together" phase of their technique. And if you want to get good in this sport, you basically want to get that sorted as quickly as possible so that you can move on to training what actually matters - the consistency part of your technique.

That’s what this course does—it hands you the clear, step-by-step manual you’ve been missing.

Here’s What You Actually Need

You need a system—a coaching framework that actually works for you.

The Technique Side:

✅Teaches the fundamental elements in a logical, layered sequence

✅Explains the what, why, and how behind each movement

✅Teaches skills that are compatible with different shooting styles

✅Uses biomechanically sound principles and a proven coaching methodology

The Mental + Performance Side:

✅Helps you build a shot that holds up under pressure—not just in practice

✅Shows you how to analyse your own technique and fix errors on your own

The Practical Side:

✅Aligns your training with your goals, schedule, and current ability

✅Gives you clear terminology, consistent language, and removes the guesswork

✅Connects you with coaching support and a like-minded community

And just as important—you need support.
A coach you can turn to with questions. A community of archers walking the same path.
A place where your progress doesn’t rely purely on trial and error.

More of what members are saying...

I was introduced to Jarryd Greitschus through my good friend Justin Huish, and after watching several of Jarryd’s free content, I decided to join his Rogue Archery Masterclass. With over 30 years in archery, including 17 years as Hoyt’s Recurve Brand Manager and Engineer, I’ve been fortunate enough to work with some of the best archers and coaches in the world. That said, Jarryd's Masterclass is truly exceptional.

His coaching style is clear, precise, and engaging, making each step easy to understand and apply, regardless of your skill level. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned archer, this Masterclass will elevate your game. If you're serious about improving as an archer, this is an absolute must.

Happy shooting!

- Douglas Denton, Hoyt Recurve Engineer & Brand Manager, USA

"I started shooting archery in 2018 and took a basic course at the local club. Then the pandemic struck and I lost access to the range and needed to rely on online resources for guidance in archery. I watched videos on YouTube and read books but didn't make much progress.

Then I came across the Recurve Archery Technique Fundamentals from the Rogue Archery Masterclass, and decided to enrol in the hope of finding something new. What I found instead was treasure!

It's like a completely different world for me. Aside from the flexible 'Training Program Design' approach, which you can take and design to suit your lifestyle, the technique fundamentals Jarryd teaches in the course are well structured, elaborated and explained.

My questions that arose from watching professional archers, such as why do archers need to raise the bow up to eye level, or why do they move the elbow down and up, etc, were all answered in the videos.

All in all, if you feel like your efforts to improve your archery skill is like finding your way in the dark, the Technique Fundamentals is like giving you a lantern so you know which way to walk, and the 'Training Program Design' book is like having someone lead your way and encouraging you to actually walk the path!

If you want to be better at archery, you need to give this course a try."

- Chayuth, Thailand

My name is Riley Silos, I shoot for Team Philippines!

I've always struggled with archery form. After only one week of watching the Rogue Archery Masterclass, I've already improved all of the basic fundamentals.

The best part about this course with Rogue Archery is that it is not black or white when it comes to different archery forms. The program breaks down the basic mechanics of archery... regardless of the style.

Thanks, Rogue Archery!

- Riley Silos, athlete representing team Philippines, and host of BowWhisperers

"This course is an absolute game changer!

Unfortunately not every aspiring archer has a coach available in their club or area but with this course you have access to quality coaching regardless of where you are in the world.

The course has helped me to identify and tackle issues in my technique that I would have never noticed without it. In every module Jarryd explains in detail not only what to do but also why and especially how you should do it, which makes it simple to understand and easy to repeat.

The best thing is: With the Rogue Archery Masterclass you don't just purchase a course - you become a member of a supporting community and with Jarryd you have such an approachable as well as knowledgeable coach who just loves to teach and is always happy to help.

In my opinion, this course is a must have."

- Steffi, Germany

"I absolutely recommend this course to every archer and coach who wants to have a deeper and better understanding of archery technique. It is an in-depth, step-by-step study of the theories, applications and examples of the fundamentals in a very comprehensive manner."

- Niño, former student athlete at Silliman University, Philippines

"Jarryd is a coach who is committed to the archers, who will undoubtedly benefit from his knowledge and fresh approach to coaching. His approach makes sense, and the training progresses in easy to follow modules.

The Rogue Archery Masterclass is truly an inspiration.

The E-Book accompanying the course also has everything you need to plan your archery journey. You also get access to the Rogue Archery Masterclass community group.

The course will undoubtedly evolve over time and you will have access to this and more from the course, as well as Jarryd’s coaching expertise."

- Nick Kershaw, Head Coach at Colwyn Bowmen, United Kingdom

"Having started archery about a year ago with an audacious goal of Olympic gold at Paris 2024, I’m sure glad that I’ve gotten to know Jarryd and have subscribed to the amazing content that’s shared within Rogue Archery Masterclass!

The long form videos are cohesively assembled with examples, video analysis & detailed instruction that maintains my focused attention throughout the whole course. It provides me with the tools to put the skills into practice practice until I’m ready for the next sequential step.

As a result, I'm feeling confident in my ability to consistently improve my form and scores to become an internationally competitive Archer within the year.

An added bonus is the lifetime subscription to the masterclass group sessions which I’ve found to be a wonderful place to troubleshoot / share knowledge and be part of a community.

I thoroughly recommend the Rogue Archery Masterclass to anyone with the desire to learn, grow & evolve not only into a better archer, but into a more balanced human as well!

Love & blessings"

- Ilias, Australia

My story: Why I built this course

I’ve been in archery for over 20 years—as an athlete, a coach, and a student of the sport.

I’ve coached beginners to intermediate. Intermediate to compeditive. Compeditive to advanced, and advance to performance athletes.
I’ve worked with state and regional teams, national teams and international representatives, and elite athletes from across the world.

But before all of that… I spent plenty of time on struggle street - just like you.

I trained hard. I had lots of success at the national level— won a stack of titles, set some records—and eventually, I made it onto the international stage.
I had big aspirations, a sprinkle of arrogance and a dollop of ignorance, and proceeded to get absolutely walloped...

Not just by the competition—but by the realisation that I wasn’t as prepared as I thought...

I had made the classic blunder of becoming a big fish in a small pond...
It was a wake-up call. After a couple of disappointing results, I had to do some serious soul searching...

Am I actually any good at this?
Am I wasting my time?
Should I just give it up and take up a less frustrating sport… like golf?

I had the potential. I knew I could shoot well.

But I wasn't a professional athlete or scholarchip holder who trains full time. I had a career and a family. I was in Australia (the middle of nowhere as far as archery in concerned) all of our top athletes are spread far and wide, and a long way from the big leagues with the top archers from Europe, Asia and the Americas.

It started to dawn on me that I didn’t have the structure, the support, or the clarity I needed to perform at the level I wanted to.

I would have to figure a few things out if I was going to mix it with the best in the business...

I went looking for answers.

The search for the secret

I flew to Korea—the powerhouse of modern archery—convinced they must know something I didn’t.

And I did learn a lot.

But the most important lesson?

There is no secret.

Sorry if that's dissapointing to you.

The Koreans do the same basic things we all do. They’re just better at them—more structure, bigger competition pool, more repetition. But their system is built for full-time athletes in a high-pressure, high-performance environment.

And I wasn’t a scholarship athlete living in a training centre.

I had a full-time job. I had a family. I was squeezing in training between work meetings, coaching my students, walking the dog, seeing my girlfriend (now wife), shopping, cooking and all of the other responsibilities that you have.

We can, and should learn a lot from the Koreans, but I realised something important:

What works in Korea isn't going to work for the rest of us.

Rather than get a large pool of archers and then churn & burn until you're left with a few at the top, we need a different way. A more nuanced and sophisticated approach that gets each archer to achieve their full potential...

The method

I started studying the best archers in the world—not just the Koreans, but Olympic medallists, world champions, and elite competitors from all over the globe.

But I didn’t focus on what they did differently.

I looked for what they all did the same.

And when you view archery through that lens, a few things start to become clear...

Despite all the styles, stances, quirks, and inconsistent terminology, the best archers in the world share a core set of fundamentals.

My peers spent their time debating the outliers.

It seemed to me that most coaches were determined to validate their own method by picking out very specific examples, and pointing out exceptions who broke this rule or that rule (the debates rage on to this day).

I saw this as a distraction from the fundamental principles of archery.

The 1% outliers? Sure, they bend a rule here or there. But almost none break more than one or two. (Except you, Frangilli!)

That was the turning point.

I took everything I had learned as an athlete, as a coach, and from a deep study of every coaching method I could learn, and filtred it through this lense:

  1. What is a fundamental principle - something that MUST be done
  2. What are the different ways of doing things - things that can be adapted to suit the individual
  3. What doesn't matter at all - is a distraction, or a theory that doesn't stack up under interrogation

Using this framework, I rebuilt my approach to technique and development from the ground up.

I built it for real people.
People with work. With families. With limited time—but unlimited motivation to improve.

I’ve Used This System With Everyone From First-Timers to International Reps

I’ve worked with:

  • Thousands of beginners
  • Hundreds of intermediate archers
  • Dozens of advanced and elite competitors

From junior club shooters to athletes representing their countries at World Cups and Championships.
From para-athletes and youth archers to adult returners, late starters, and busy parents like me.

I’ve developed coaching curriculums, trained national pathway squads, led programs across six weekly coaching streams, and mentored archers from Australia to the Solomon Islands, and everywhere in between.

This is the exact system I use with all of them. The program that I wish was there for me when I started!

And yes—this is the same program I use with my personal squad (who, by the way, are kicking ass).
They’re setting PBs, winning medals, and making consistent progress, season after season.

This course is the closest you can get to joining that squad—short of packing up your gear and showing up at my range.

This is not a test.

You’re not my first student.

You’re not a guinea pig.

And I’ve built this course for you!

FAQs

How much time do I need for this course?
The course is self-paced, so you can work through it at your own pace. I trust that most people know how they best learn—but for most, I recommend this approach, because the content and resources are vast:
  1. Binge-watch the core modules on each step in the shot process.
  2. Don’t forget to DO THE DRILLS. Archery is not an academic exercise. Your body needs to learn the techniques—not just your brain understand them.
  3. Review the e-book on training program design.
  4. Pick one or two elements of your shot process to focus on at any time (three would be too many). Review the relevant core modules and jump to any case studies or workshop recordings that are relevant to that step.
  5. Each module is as detailed as it needs to be—not dumbed down to suit a presumed level of comprehension. You're unlikely to pick up 100% of the detail on the very first viewing. As you progress to a higher skill level, there are layers to each skill that will become clearer.
  6. Jump in the community group to ask questions, post progress, and celebrate wins with your fellow Rogue Archers!
I already have a coach. Will this still help me?
Yes—this course isn’t here to replace your coach. It gives you a structured framework to understand your own technique better and make sense of conflicting advice. A lot of my students use it to complement their in-person coaching.

Just don’t lie about it. It’s best to go through this course with your coach and discuss any changes or implementations you plan to make—it’s very important that you maintain trust with your coach.

Many coaches use this course as a resource to work through with their students, and it is designed to supplement in-person training.
Is this course for beginners or experienced archers?
It’s for intermediate level archers, all the way through to advanced athletes. It assumes you’ve done some basic beginner course or instruction already (I don’t show you how to nock an arrow or wear an armguard).

If you’ve just started and want to build good habits from the ground up, this is for you. If you’re more experienced and feel like you’ve plateaued, this will help you reconnect the dots and rebuild with confidence.

There are students getting results from 1 month experience through to the World Cup circuit!
What if I’ve already tried other online courses or YouTube tutorials?
That’s great! Education is the most important thing—and most people undervalue it.

This course will build on your knowledge and plug some of the gaps you probably have. I pride myself on being the HOW guy.

It’s really hard to demonstrate the implementation of advanced skills through video platforms, but I’ve made a considerable effort to show live examples, actual coaching case studies, and student interventions throughout the program.

Unlike others, this course is not just information—it’s implementation.
What if I get stuck or have questions?
You’ll have access to a coaching community where you can ask questions, post videos, and get real feedback. You're not doing this alone.

I feel that this is really important—I was lost and felt like I had no one to turn to. I'm really stoked with the standard of discussion in our community group, and if you post a good question, there’ll usually be several good answers by the time I get to respond myself! I love that group.
What equipment do I need before I start?
Any basic recurve setup will do. You don’t need anything fancy—just a bow, arrows, and some space to train. I’ll walk you through what matters and what doesn’t inside the course.

I do make some recommendations for training aids that are beneficial—mostly things like therabands and pipe bows that are cheap and easy to get.
How long do I get access to the course?
You get lifetime access—including any future updates or bonus content I add later.
What if the course sucks?
Well, you’d be the first one to tell me that—but if you think it sucks, you can get a full refund within 30 days. No hard feelings.
Is this course suitable for barebow archers?
The course is specifically designed for sighted recurve, however, I’ve been surprised that many barebow students have signed up and got good results with this course.

I won’t pretend to be a barebow expert—I’m not. However, many of the technique fundamentals translate directly between those two disciplines. Aside from a few specifics (aiming, anchor, and the lack of a clicker), the shot process is basically the same.

If you have questions about this, feel free to get in touch and I can put you in contact with some barebow students who can share how they’ve used the course to help them.
